Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Chromebook 2 has been unveiled in a new leak, pointing to the return of the company’s unique bright orange color in an otherwise similar design. via Evan Blass.
There are some visible changes to the new model, including minor adjustments to the port layout and the expansion of Samsung’s application of the orange color. The keyboard on the second-generation model has been made more neutral, though the orange tint has extended to the sides of the laptop.
But more significant changes are likely to be found in the internal specifications, which is likely to bring about some sort of improvement from last year’s model – especially if new 11th Intel chips for laptops are available. The combination of the improved battery life and graphical performance of the chips with the already beautiful Samsung Galaxy Chromebook, sounds like an interesting possibility.
The original Galaxy Chromebook was a leading device with a design – and price tag – that matched. But in her review, The edge‘s Monica Chen was disappointed with the low battery life and cooling areas that Samsung will hopefully improve on in this newly leaked model. CES 2021 is around the corner, so chances are we’ll get an official statement from Samsung within the next few weeks.
